The Daniel Fast also called the Daniel Plan, or the Daniel-Ezekiel plan, is a dietary fast in which

adherents eat only plant-based foods and drink water and herbal tea. The fast lasts for ten days and includes Bible reading as well as prayer.

The Daniel Fast was created by a college student who felt that God had called him to fast for 40 days. The fast guidelines are simple: abstain from food and drink during daylight hours on weekdays, and you will get to break the fast on Sunday night. It is supposed to be a practice of self-control, discipline, and sacrifice.

The Daniel Fast removes artificial foods, colors, ingredients, and other toxins from the diet that could cause sluggishness and depression.
